Violinist Alexi Kenney has earned wide-spread acclaim for his insightful and artistic interpretations, as well as his inspired programming, often melding the new with the old, the familiar with the obscure. He is the recipient of a Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award and an Avery Fisher Career Grant.

In this recital for solo violin—with and without electronics—which The New York Times called “breathless and often daring,” movements of J.S. Bach are interspersed with contemporary works and new commissions from Salina Fisher and Angélica Negrón.
X Suite
Alexi’s 2021 World Premiere recording of Paul Wiancko’s X Suite for Solo Violin is out now, as well as a Visual Album, which pairs X Suite with seven contemporary sculptures at the Donum Estate in Sonoma, California. Alexi commissioned and premiered X Suite in 2019.
